February 22, 2025, is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. After the cold spell this past week, this is a great time to show appreciation for the Newell School District bus drivers!
Bus drivers for routes and activities are vital to the district and the opportunities we can provide for our students. In rain, snow, and wind, the drivers work hard to keep this district moving forward.
The Newell School District bus drivers go beyond the driving of the bus. They take care of the vehicles, maintain health and safety requirements, and know the various locations needed to serve our students. Vital personal connections are made with students, staff and coaches, connections that last a lifetime. As a former student at the Newell School District, it is a pleasure to work with my former school bus driver. Fortunately, we have both been able to maintain our youth!
