Kelsi Clements shot a two day total of 178, finishing tied for 22nd, earning a medal.
Megan Jackson shot a two day total of 201, finishing tied for 51st.
Bodie VanDerBoom shot a two day total of 208, finishing tied of 120th.

Last day of state track! Sarah Erk had triple jump today and jumped a 29-00.75. She ended 23 in the state. Great job!
Day two of state track is done! Rachel Erk jumped her way onto the podium with a long jump of 15'8.5" she placed 7th! She also ran the 400m in 1:04.42 and the 200m in 29.50. 9th grader Rachel Stranberg also did king jump and placed 15th with a jump of 14'8"! 7th grader Mesa Mangis had her state debut in the 300 hurdles and is 19th in the state with 51.91. Great job ladies!
Day one of the state track meet is in the books! We had three athletes competing today. Rachel Erk just barely missed finals of the 100M dash but ran great with a time of 13.11. In high jump we had BeJae Tesch who cleared the first height of 4'8" but couldn't quite clear the next height which placed her 10th in the state! Sarah Erk we close to clearing the first height couldn't quite get there. You can follow along live at the following website.

Congrats to the girls varsity team on placing second at the region meet! Everyone showed up to compete today. The boys came home with 5th place! Stay tuned for a post about the state qualifiers! Also, the region recognized head coach Kyle Sanderson on his 10 years of dedication to the Newell track and cross county teams. Good luck in your future endeavors.
