The Newell School District has contracted with a company to begin a construction project on Newell school grounds. The project is to improve drainage between buildings and redirect water flow away from classrooms to avoid flooding during snow melt and heavy rains. This will affect parent and bus pick-up and drop-off. The construction is in the area between the elementary and the middle school buildings.
\r\nThese changes will be in place from Jan. 15 until the project is completed (estimated March 1):
\r\n- Do not park on either side of the street on the South side of the school grounds on 4th Street
- Do not park in the first row of parking on the West side of the Middle School building
- Do not use the South doors of the Elementary school and Middle school, please use the West door near the office or the door on the North side of the Multi-purpose room
- Busses will drop-off and pick-up on the West side of the Middle School building
