The Newell boys basketball team won their opening round Region 8B basketball game over Dupree. The second round will be held Wednesday February 27th in Lemmon at 6:00. Good luck.

The first round of boys basketball regions has been postponed from Monday (2-25-19) to Tuesday (2-26-19). The game will still start at 6:00. The remainder of the region games have not been set yet.
Emergency Electronic Meeting Notice: 2/24/19 Each school board member will be called individually to have a consensus conversation about the possibility of a Wednesday night playoff Boys BB game. The game conversation is due to weather. Superintendent Dutt will also attempt to contact area clergy.
The boys basketball team will start their post season Monday February 25 at 6:00 with a home game vs Dupree.

Checking to see if there would be any interest in taking a Pep Bus to Lemmon for the Girls' Basketball game Thursday, 2-21-19 (Region Game). We would charge $10 per person to ride the bus. This will give you a ride to and from the game. You would need money to get into the game. Open to High School students, parents/grandparents, community members. Younger students may ride with a parent. We would need to have at least 30 riders to make it work. We would leave the School at 3:00. Students will need a parent call school to be dismissed early. If you are interested in riding please contact Sabrina Harmon at 605-381-9136. We need to know ASAP to make arrangements so please let us know ASAP. Let's show the girls they have our support. The girls basketball team beat McIntosh tonight by a score of 44 to 37. With the win the girls have earned a game against Faith on Thursday February 21st at 5:30. The game will be played in Lemmon.
