The 5th grade class had a guest speaker today who was deployed after 9/11. She came in and spoke with the students about where she was that day, what it was like being at a base at the time, as well as what life was like in Iraq. She was one of the first troops to lay boots down in Iraq. The story was captioning and emotional. Thank you Annette!

Reminder!
Parent-teacher conferences will be next week. One day only. If you know you are not able to make it, please reach out to your teachers to schedule a different time to meet and chat.

"This is my first book. The entire process has taken me about three years. And I already have a start on my next book," said Wich. A.J. will be at the Newell School District taking part in an author visit on Wednesday, Sept. 27 starting at 8:30 am in the elementary.
